StudyinKorea

Welcome to NIIED.

NIIED is a government organization aimed to nurture and foster human resources of Korea in the age of globalization, and as a competent operation agency of Korea Ministry of Education, we are mainly promoting the following project.

  • First,

with our institutional project ‘Study Korea Project’, we have launched Korea Education Fairs and managed the ‘Study in Korea’ System. We are striving to invite more talented international students and cooperating with Korean universities in order to develop a more globalized higher education field.

  • Second,

we not only organize TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean), Korean government scholarship programs, and education fairs abroad but also manage foreign government scholarship programs and teaching Koreans. By doing so, we are playing a leading role in revitalizing international education exchanges.

  • Third,

in order to enhance global competency, cultural exchanges, and English communication abilities in today’s globalized information society we operate the EPIK (English Program in Korea) project, which invites and utilizes native English speaking English teaching assistants. Another project of President Scholarship for English volunteer students, TaLK (Teach and Learn in Korea) is implemented to close the gap between differing English English education levels of students in various regions, and also to broaden the understanding of Korea by foreigners.

In the future, NIIED will continue to provide more and more enhanced educational administrative services by developing and utilizing more specialized programs. Furthermore, we will try our best to serve as the leading agency for overseas Korean education, a central agency for the recruitment of foreign students and international education exchanges, a central agency for national competency reinforcement, and to continuously develop our role and functions.

Thank You.

President, NIIED
