GKS 우간다 동문회는 청소년 교화시설인 ‘Naguru Children’s Remand Home‘에 방문했습니다. 지난 2년간 COVID-19으로 인한 장기간 학교 폐쇄(2년 모든 학교 폐쇄) 및 경제적 후퇴로 인한 가정해체로 증가한 비행청소년들에게 미래에 대한 희망을 전달했습니다. 소외된 청소년들의 교화 및 교육을 위해 TV를 제공하고, 비누 설탕 등 기본 적인 물품과 선물을 제공했으며 이에 센터장은 GKS 동문들의 지원에 감사를 표했습니다. GKS 동문들은 청소년들에게 한국에 대한 홍보와 GKS 사업 취지를 설명했습니다.

The Uganda Chapter paid a visit to the Naguru Remand Home, a reform/educational facility for youth. The purpose of the visit was to give troubled teens hope for the future, given the rapid increase in the number of adolescents experiencing family disintegration (due to financial hardship) and the closing of all educational facilities for two years due to COVID-19. The alumni donated a TV (to provide supplementary educational resources and rehabilitative training for teens who are partially or completely outside of the school system), basic everyday supplies such as soap and sugar, and gifts, for which the director of the Naguru Remand Home expressed his gratitude. The GKS alumni also spent time talking with the teens about the GKS program and Korea.
