Korean Culture Class with GKS Alumni Association (Corea en Mi Aula)

As part of public diplomacy in 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in El Salvador, together with the GKS (Government Scholarship Program) Alumni Association, carried out the Korean Culture Class (Corea en Mi Aula) project.
The project involved visiting four local middle and high schools, where Korean culture classes were held for students. These classes introduced various aspects of Korea, including its history, geography, and culture. The initiative actively promoted Korean culture to Salvadoran youth, and the participating students gained greater knowledge and interest in Korea.
• Colegio Belén (September 24, with alumni president Rodrigo Guzman, attended by approximately 30 middle school students)
• Colegio Salvadoreño Español (September 27, with alumni president Rodrigo Guzman, attended by approximately 50 middle and high school students)
• Instituto Nacional de San Isidro (November 12, with alumni Raquel Orantes, attended by approximately 80 high school students)
• Complejo Educativo Catolico Fray Engelberto Malissori (November 15, with alumni Fatima Guatemala, attended by approximately 30 high school students)
The Korean Culture Class held in collaboration with the GKS Alumni Association provided a great opportunity to promote Korea and Korean culture. Since the establishment of the GKS Alumni Association and the experience of studying in Korea, it has strengthened the ties between the two countries.

GKS 동문회와 함께하는 한국문화교실(Corea en Mi Aula)

2024년 공공외교의 일환으로 주 엘살바도르 대사관과 GKS(정부초청장학생) 동문회와 함께 한국문화교실(Corea en Mi Aula) 프로젝트를 진행하였습니다.
현지 중고등학교 4개교를 방문하여 후배들을 대상으로 한국문화교실을 개최하여 한국의 역사, 지리, 문화 등을 소개하였습니다. 엘살바도르 청소년들을 대상으로 한국문화홍보 활동을 적극 전개하였으며, 참가 학생들은 한국에 대해 보다 많은 지식과 관심을 가지게 되는 계기가 되었습니다.

이번 GKS 동문회와 함께하는 한국문화교실 개최를 통해 한국 및 한국 문화를 홍보하는 좋은 계기가 되었으며, 한국유학 및 GKS 동문회 결성 이후 한국과의 유대감을 강화하고 GKS 동문으로서 자부심을 느낄 수 있었다.
