저는 미얀마에서 온 GKS학생 모모민트라고 합니다. 한국에는 2020년 8월에 왔고, 제주대학교에서 한국어 2급을 공부하고 있습니다. 한국어를 공부한지는 3개월이 되었고, 처음에는 한국어가 부족하여 한국생활이 힘들었으나 지금은 괜찮습니다. 제가 제주에서 생활하며, 감사함을 느꼈던 분인 허은희 선생님을 소개하려 합니다. 선생님께서는 GKS학생들을 담당하시고, 아름다우시고 친절하십니다. 제가 한국에 도착하기 전부터 허 선생님께서는 비자 정보, 비행기 표 등을 꼼꼼히 챙겨주셨습니다. 또한 저의 여러 궁금증에, 늘 최선을 다해 답해주셨습니다. 제주에 도착한 뒤 코로나 상황으로 인해 14일간 격리가 진행되었습니다. 그때 저의 건강을 챙겨주시고, 심적으로도 많은 배려를 해주셨습니다. 오리엔테이션과 웰컴 파티도 진행하곤 했으며, 매달 저희가 함께 만나 한국생활에 대해 얘기하다보니 적응을 더 잘할 수 있는 것만 같습니다. 제가 한국생활을 하며 불편하거나 궁금한 점들을 직접 허 선생님께 여쭤볼 수 있어서 참으로 감사합니다. 허 선생님 덕분에 제가 제주에서 행복한 한국 생활을 할 수 있다고 생각합니다.

My name is Moe Moe Myint, and I am a GKS student from Myanmar. I came to Korea in August 2020 and am taking the Level 2 Korean Language Course at Jeju National University. I have studied Korean for three months. Daily life was difficult at first because I didn‟t understand Korean very well, but things are better now. Today, I would like to introduce Ms. Eunhee Heo, who has done so much to make my time in Jeju both productive and satisfying. Ms. Heo, who is responsible for the GKS students, is beautiful both inside and out and very friendly. She helped me with many things, such as obtaining the proper visa and reserving a plane ticket, even before I arrived in Korea and always answered my many questions as thoroughly as she could. After arriving in Jeju, I had to self-isolate for 14 days because of COVID-19. During this time, Ms. Heo took care of not only my physical well-being but also my mental health. Later, there were orientation sessions, welcome parties, and monthly meetings with GKS students that were very helpful in adjusting to life in Korea. I‟m thankful that I can go to Ms. Heo with any questions (or issues/inconveniences) I have about living in Korea. It is thanks to Ms. Heo that I have adjusted so well and am now enjoying my life in Jeju.
