(1) GKS 이집트 동문회 회장인 Dina Yehia 씨, 대통령 방문 행사 통역 참가(‘22. 01. 19)

지난 1월 19일부터 21일까지 열린 대통령 방문 행사에 GKS 이집트 동문회 회장 Dina Yehia 씨 (연세대학교, 2010년도 초청)께서 통역으로 참가하였습니다. 이번 통역업무를 위해 경호 관련 어휘를 새로 공부하셨고, 1월 14일부터 대통령 경호처에서 근무하시는 분들과 함께 행사장들을 사전 답사하며 노력하셨다고 합니다. Dina Yehia 씨는 대통령 모토케이드, 호텔 등을 동행하였던 잊을 수 없는 경험이었다며, 감사하다는 소감을 전했습니다.

Dina Yehia (Yonsei University, invited in 2010), participated in the presidential visit as an interpreter from January 19 to 21. She studied new vocabulary related to security for this interpretation work, and since January 14th, she has been working with Presidential Security Team to explore the venue in advance. She interviewed it was an unforgettable experience of accompanying the presidential motorcade and hotel, expressing her gratitude.




(2) 주이집트한국문화원, 2022년 정부초청 외국인 대학원 장학생 생방송 설명회 개최 (‘22.02,27.)

주이집트한국문화원은 2022년 정부초청 외국인 대학원 장학생(GKS, Global Korea Scholarship) 모집을 맞아 온라인 생방송 설명회를 2월 27일 주이집트한국문화원 유튜브 채널을 통해 개최하였습니다. 설명회는 가장 최근 GKS 프로그램을 성공적으로 마치고 돌아온 Salma Hassanien (연세대학교, 언어학 석사)와 Shorouk Abdelwahab (고려대학교, 문학)이 참여하여, 본 장학 제도 소개 및 GKS 프로그램 지원자들이 가장 많이 문의하는 질문들에 대해 답을 하는 질의응답의 형태로 진행되었습니다.

The Korean Cultural Center in Egypt held an online live briefing on February 27 on their YouTube channel to mark the recruitment of GKS (Global Korea Scholarship) invited by the government in 2022. Salma Hassanien (Yonsei University, Master of Linguistics) and Shorouk Abdelwahab (Korea University, Literature), who most recently graduated from the GKS program successfully, participated in the presentation and answered the most frequently asked questions to GKS program applicants. Thanks to this YouTube Live, many Egyptian applicants were able to learn more about GKS.
