-GKS 스리랑카 동문회, 동문의 밤 개최(‘21.12.)

2021년 스리랑카에서 GKS 동문들의 밤이 열렸습니다. 코로나 19의 확산으로 2019년 이후 2년 만에 개최되는 동문회였기 때문에, 참가자들은 그 간의 안부를 물으며 반가운 재회의 시간을 가졌습니다. 정운진 대사의 환영사 이후 세 명의 동문이 한국에서의 경험과 교훈을 공유하고, 현재 본인의 커리어에 대해 발표했습니다.

1. Dr.Sachini Amarasekara, GKS 홍보사절
- 한국어 연수 및 석박사 시절의 경험들을 공유했고, 한국에서 습득한 지식과 경험이 어떻게 콜롬보 대학의 교수생활에 도움이 되는지 강의했습니다.

2. Dr. Aruna Ranaweera, 전 동문회장
- 한국에서의 경험과 교훈을 통해 현재 재직 중인 대학교에서 '혁신가상'과 '스리랑카 내 최대 연구 지원금 상'을 받을 수 있었다고 말했습니다.

3. Dr. W.M. Tharanga Dilruk Ranasinghe, 2020, 2021 동문회장
- 한국에서의 자원 봉사 경험과 한국 유학이 인생의 큰 전환점이 될 수 있었다고 말했습니다.

2021 GKS 동문들의 밤은 팬데믹으로 인해 오랫동안 만나지 못했던 GKS 동문 회원들에게 직접 만나 인사를 나눌 수 있는 좋은 기회를 제공했습니다. 그들은 네트워크를 새로 만들고, 경험을 공유하며 향후 계획에 대해 논의할 수 있었습니다.

In 6th, Dec, 2021, GKS Alumni Night 2021 for GKS alumni members of Sri Lanka Chapter was held. Due to COVID-19, they had a great reunion as it was the first alumni meeting held in two years since 2019. After Ambassador his speech, three presentations were made by following alumni members based on their experiences in Korea as a GKS Scholar.

1. Dr. Sachini Amarasekara, public relations officer for GKS.
- She shared her Korean language training and experience as a master's and doctorate, and gave lectures on how the knowledge and experience acquired in Korea helped her with her teaching life at Colombo University.

2. Dr. Aruna Ranaweera, former alumni president.
- Because of his experience and lessons in Korea, he said he was able to receive the "Award for the Innovator" and the "Biggest Research Support Fund Award in Sri Lanka" from his current university.

3. Dr. W.M. Tharanga Diluk Ranasinghe, 2020, 2021 alumni president.
- He said his volunteer experience in Korea and studying abroad in Korea could be a big turning point in his life.

2021 GKS Alumni Night provided GKS alumni members a good opportunity to meet and greet each other who met in person after long time due to the pandemic situation in the country. They were able to refresh their network, share their experiences and discuss about future plans.
