(1) 필리핀 GKS 동문회, 태풍 피해 가정을 위한 모금운동 (2021.12.)

GKS 필리핀 동문회(GKS PHAA)는 작년의 강한 태풍 Odette에 피해를 입은 필리핀 남부 주민들을 위한 모금을 기획했습니다. 남부 Leyte에서의 구호 활동은 Visayas의 대표 Dr. Nancy Getalado-Lanuza가 다른 지역 단체들과 협력하여 진행했습니다. 한편, Dr. Aldrin Lee는 2022년 1월 17일 태풍 피해민들에게 구호 팩을 배포하기 위해 Palawan의 지역 교회와 협력했고, 이 단체는 약 50여 가정을 도왔습니다. 이들은 자신들의 단체를 후원해준 사람들에게 감사를 표하며 구호활동을 마무리했습니다. 그들의 선행은 다른 사람들에게 귀감이 되는 행위였습니다. GKS Alumni는 이들의 선행을 진심으로 지지합니다.

The GKS Philippines Alumni Association (GKS PHAA) has conducted a fundraising drive for communities in the southern part of the Philippines affected by Typhoon Odette, the strongest typhoon that hit the country last year. The relief operation in Southern Leyte was conducted by Visayas Representative Dr Nancy Getalado-Lanuza in collaboration with other local organisations in December 2021. On the other hand, Board Member Dr. Aldrin Lee coordinated with a local church in Palawan to distribute relief packs to the families affected by the typhoon on 17 January 2022, and the organisation was able to provide assistance to more than 50 families. They expressed their deepest gratitude to all who donated and supported their organisation. Their good deeds can be an inspiration to others. We wholeheartedly support their good deeds.




(2) GKS 필리핀 동문회, 비대면 오리엔테이션 개최(‘22.01.28)

2022년 1월 28일, GKS 필리핀 동문회 (GKS PHAA) 와 한국 대사관이 GKS 장학생 및 동문회를 위한 비대면 오리엔테이션을 실시했습니다. 7명의 장학생 중 6명이 참여했습니다.

필리핀 회장 겸 홍보대사 Ronel Laranjo 씨께서 개막 연설을 진행했습니다. 이후 멤버들인 Ma.Lynette Callanta, Mary Delia Bondoc, Justin Rivera 씨는 GKS 장학생들을 위해 한국 방문 문제, 한국어 및 한국 문화, 한국 내 필리핀 커뮤니티 등에 대한 정보를 제공했고, 마지막으로 짧은 질의응답 시간을 가지며 오리엔테이션이 마무리 되었습니다.

The GKS Philippine Alumni Association (GKS PHAA) and the Korean Embassy held a virtual orientation for GKS scholarship students and alumni associations! Six out of seven scholarship students participated.

Ronel Laranjo, GKS PHAA (President and Publicity Envoy) gave the opening speech. After ward, GKS PHAA members Ma. Linette Callanta, Mary Delia Bondoc, and Justin Rivera shared information on GKS pre-departure and arrival matters, Korean and Korean culture, and the Philippine community in Korea. The orientation ended with a short question-and-answer session.
