2023 GKS Alumni Invitation Program (2023.08.27~2023.09.04)


2023년 8월 27일부터 9월 4일까지 GKS 동문초청연수 모임이 개최되었습니다. 본 행사는 귀국 동문 중 양국 발전과 동문회 운영 등에 참여했던 20명의 GKS 동문들이 참석했습니다. 연수 기간 동안 워크숍, 산업체 및 유적지 탐방, GKS 브릿지 프로젝트, GKS동문회 활성화 사례 및 활동 방안 발표가 진행되었습니다.

본 행사를 통해 현대 모터스 스튜디오, 북촌 전통 공예 체험관, 카페 투어, 아모레 팩토리, 서울 새활용플라자, 청와대 탐방 등 같은 발전한 한국의 문화와 산업을 보여주는 문화 및 산업 탐방, 졸업 축하 귀국환송회 참여 등의 일정으로 진행되었습니다.

초청 동문들이 진행 한GKS 브릿지 프로젝트를 통해 여러 협의 및 네트워킹 세션이 마련되었습니다. 신라대와 에콰도르 3개 대학 간 남미 휴학생 유치를 위한 파트너십 MOU 협의가 이뤄졌으며, 한-라오스 간 무역 협력 관련 프로젝트에 대한 논의, 미얀마 경제 관련 연구 협력과 함께 파키스탄 PMAS Arid 농업대학과 충북대학교 간 학생 교류 MOU가 체결되었습니다. 대전 카이스트를 방문하여 저온 플라즈마 연구에 대한 토의 및 대학 외국인 연구 인턴십 프로그램에 대한 협의도 이루어졌습니다. 또한, GKS 한국 동문회 회장과의 회의 및 고려대학교 외국인 동문회와의 네트워킹도 이뤄졌습니다. 슬로바키아 대사관과 슬로바키아 학생들을 위한 수학 기회에 대한 토의가 진행되었고, 온두라스 동문이 현대 글로비스 본사를 방문하여 업무 토의를 진행했습니다. 또한, 네팔 동문이 전북대학교를 방문하여 연구 교류를 진행했습니다.

본 초청 연수는 초청 동문의 국가와 대한민국 양국간의 교류 증진 활동을 진행한 뒤 프로젝트 발표회와 송별 만찬으로 마무리되었습니다.

From August 27th to September 4th, 2023, the GKS Alumni Invitation Training Meeting was held. This event was attended by 20 individuals who have contributed significantly to bilateral development and alumni association operations upon their return to their own country. Workshops, visits to industrial sites and historical landmarks, presentations on the GKS Bridge Project, and discussions on activating the GKS Alumni Association were conducted during the event.

Through this event, activities showcasing the advancement of Korean culture and industries, such as visits to Hyundai Motors Studio, Bukchon Traditional Craft Center, cafe tours, Amorepacific Factory, Seoul Upcycling Plaza, and the Blue House visits, were organized. Additionally, a graduation congratulatory return reception was also held.

Through the GKS Bridge Project, several discussions and networking sessions were facilitated. Partnerships were established, including an MOU between Silla University and three universities in Ecuador to attract South American exchange students, and discussions on trade cooperation projects between Korea and Laos were held. Collaborations in economic research involving Myanmar and MOU for student exchange between PMAS Arid Agriculture University of Pakistan and Chungbuk University in Korea was also signed. Discussions and agreements on low-temperature plasma research and foreign research internships at KAIST in Daejeon were held. Apart from this, meeting of the president of the GKS Korean Alumni Association and networking sessions with foreign alumni associations at Korea University was also organized. Discussions on opportunities in mathematics for Slovakian students at the Slovak Embassy and business discussions at Hyundai Glovis headquarters with a Honduran alumnus were held. Additionally, a Nepalese alumnus visited Jeonbuk National University for research exchange.

These activities enhancing bilateral exchanges were concluded with project presentations and a farewell dinner.
