KMOU has greatly contributed to building a strong maritime nation by educating personnel specialized in maritime and ocean fields.
KMOU has led the futuristic knowledge and information society and the advanced shipbuilding and ocean industries in Korea. Based on the strong basic engineering knowledge which are strengthened with experiments and design educations, the college trains the global engineering leader with the strong engineering education.

1. The Museum of KMOU
The Museum of KMOU exhibits the development progress of KMOU which operated development of marine transportation industry and role as the center of it and the shell heap relics excavated by the national main museum when in the construction of islands new construction site 1975 and other in 3 separate exhibition room.
2. Library
It is operating central function of study and research by providing the information service such as collecting, arranging and managing of all data needed in the research activity of professor and student as the heart of the university.
3. Information Computation center
Information computation center which was established in year 1985 to upbring the professionals demanded by high-level information society has started the study and research information service through the internet and established the computation of the education and research work with the opening of inner school network KMUNET and introduced Hp-9000/G70 computation in march of 1995.
4. Student Dormitory
We take pride in second largest dormitory facilities in the country with Ara Hall (500 students), Achi Hall (100 graduate students), Ipji Hall (200 students), Nuri Hall (450 students), and Dormitory for students under the College of Maritime Sciences (1500 students) with the view of whole school in harmony with the ocean.
5. Student Service Center
Constructed student centered administration service system so provide the high-quality administrative service and correspond to the change in educational environment quickly. Also it is going to operate as one-stop-system totalling the each departments student appeal related work annually.
